Valentine's Day Party

Today we celebrated Valentine's Day with a Party. Whenever we have a party/celebration in our classroom I set it up in stations. I have parents volunteer to come in and help run the stations and the children rotate through each station. This helps to keep things orderly and organized and everyone gets to take part in each activity. The stations for the Valentine's Party were:
1. Refreshments
2. Make a Valentine's Day Necklace or Bracelet (some had time to make both)
3. Make a Valentine's Day card for someone they love.
4. Play Valentine Bingo with our Popcorn Words
The children had a great time!

CMCSS Teacher of the Year

I found out today that I was selected as the Clarksville-Montgomery County Teacher of the Year for K-4. This is very exciting news. I am very humbled and proud of this accomplishment. My students were very excited as well. Balloons were delivered to my room from my students.

February Kennedy Kubs - Clayton and Riley

We have begun to select Kennedy Kubs for each month. Each teacher is allowed to select 2 students that exhibit qualities of a great student and citizen. Since my class is pretty even with boys and girls I will select one boy and one girl each month. This month I selected Clayton and Riley as the Kennedy Kubs.
